Privacy Policy

Magnet Blast (magnetblast.com and the Android app) — last updated July 2026

This describes what data Magnet Blast actually collects and why. It's written to match reality, not as boilerplate — every item below is something the app genuinely does.

What we collect

• Account info (only if you create an account): username, email address, and a password. Your password is never stored in plain text — it's hashed with scrypt before it ever touches a database, so we can't see or recover it, only verify it.
• Game progress: coins, level, XP, cosmetics, quests, and best scores. This lives in your browser locally, and — if you're logged in — is also saved to our server tied to your account, so your progress can follow you across devices.
• Gameplay/multiplayer data: your chosen display name, in-match actions (position, score, kills, etc.) needed to run a live multiplayer match, and room codes you create or join. This is processed in real time to run the match and isn't kept as permanent history beyond your own local leaderboard.
• Technical data: IP address, used transiently to prevent abuse (rate-limiting login/signup attempts) — not stored long-term or linked to your account.
• Advertising data (Android app only): the app shows ads via Google AdMob, which collects an advertising identifier and device information to serve and measure ads. We don't control what AdMob collects — see Google's own privacy policy below for details on that.

Who else sees it

• Supabase — hosts our account/progress database (a data processor, not a party we share data with for their own use).
• Resend — sends account-related emails (email verification codes, password reset links) on our behalf.
• Google AdMob — serves ads in the Android app. See Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle advertising data.

We do not sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else beyond what's listed above.

Your choices

• Playing without an account is fully supported — your progress just stays local to that device/browser and won't sync anywhere.
• You can delete your account and all associated data (login credentials + synced progress) at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed: magnetblast.com/delete-account.html.
• You can request password recovery via email if you forget your password, from the login screen.

Children

Magnet Blast is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
